About this workshop

Paint two ready-made ceramic pieces in your own style, drink in hand - relaxed, beginner-friendly and full of colour.

Pick up a brush and bring a plain ceramic piece to life. In this easygoing pottery painting session you'll choose from pieces like mugs, plates and bowls, then decorate them however you fancy with bright paints, stencils and your own imagination.

Your instructor is on hand throughout with friendly tips and encouragement, so it suits everyone from total beginners to confident decorators. It's a warm, unhurried way to get creative - lovely for a relaxed solo session, a catch-up with friends or quality time with family.

Each guest paints two pieces, and we finish everything with a food-safe protective varnish as the top coat. Please note we don't have a kiln on site, so this isn't traditional glazing or firing - your pieces will have a handmade, brush-finished character all of their own.

Good to know

How many pottery pieces will I paint?

Each participant will paint two ceramic pieces, chosen from our available selection on the day of your workshop.

Do you fire the pottery in a kiln?

No. We do not have a kiln on site. Instead, we use an instant glazing process, where your pottery is sealed with a protective varnish after painting.

Is the glaze food-safe?

Yes. We use a food-safe glaze. You can choose between a glossy or matte finish, depending on the look you'd like for your finished piece.

Can I bring children?

Yes! Children aged 5 and over are welcome to join this workshop.

Can I take my pottery home on the same day?

We recommend collecting your pottery later the same day to allow the glaze to dry properly. If that's not convenient, we'll keep your completed pieces in the studio for up to 7 days for collection.

What pottery can I choose from?

Our selection changes regularly depending on the season and availability. You'll find a wide variety of ceramic pieces to choose from, including mugs, plates, plant pots, money banks, coasters, houses, animals, figurines, and many more. Simply come in, browse the selection, and pick your favourites before you start painting.
