Are the plants real?
Yes! Each Real Plant Terrarium DIY Kit includes two real, hand-picked succulents selected especially for your terrarium.
Which succulents will I receive?
The exact varieties are a surprise. We hand-pick two beautiful succulents for each kit, so your combination may differ from the plants shown in our photos. This means every finished terrarium is a little different.
Is this an open or closed terrarium?
This is an open terrarium designed specifically for succulents. The open design provides the airflow and lower humidity that succulents prefer.
Do I need any experience with plants?
Not at all. The kit is designed for complete beginners and includes step-by-step instructions showing you how to layer, plant and decorate your terrarium.
How do I look after my terrarium?
Your kit includes care instructions for your succulents. Place your finished terrarium somewhere with plenty of suitable light and water sparingly. Succulents prefer their soil to dry between watering, so a little restraint goes a long way.
How long will my terrarium last?
With the right care, your succulents can continue growing long after you’ve created your terrarium. As living plants, they may change and grow over time, making your miniature landscape evolve with them.
Is the Real Plant Terrarium DIY Kit suitable for childr
The kit contains small decorative components and a glass vessel, so it is not designed for children under 3 years old. Children should use the kit with appropriate adult supervision.

Create your own miniature living world at home with our Real Plant Terrarium DIY Kit.
This isn’t your ordinary terrarium. Designed around our signature open terrarium style, each kit combines real living succulents, colourful natural materials and tiny surprise characters to create a miniature landscape that is completely your own.
At the heart of your terrarium are two beautiful, hand-picked succulents, individually selected for your kit. No two combinations are exactly the same, so part of the experience is discovering which plants have arrived and designing your miniature world around them.
Build your terrarium layer by layer inside a 20 cm glass vessel, starting with drainage pebbles, charcoal and soil before planting your succulents and bringing the landscape to life.
Then comes the fun part.
Decorate your terrarium with a colourful selection of decorative pebbles and preserved green moss, then create your own tiny story with three surprise miniature figures. Every kit includes a miniature house alongside two mystery characters, which could be anything from tiny dinosaurs and farm animals to ducks, cats and other little creatures.
You won’t know exactly who has moved into your terrarium until you open the box!
Follow our step-by-step guide and use the included design references for inspiration, or create a completely original miniature landscape of your own. No previous plant or terrarium experience is needed.
